A new series of pots with faces and hands, inspired by ancient forms and my personal travels around the world. They are first thrown on a wheel and then hand-sculpted so each piece is unique. The pots have all gone through three firings; bisque, clear glaze and smoke-firing. They are made intuitively as an experiment, therefore it is a surprise which creature each pot contains. They provoke a sense of old and ancient, but with a closer look you can notice contemporary details and gadgets like a bikini, mobile phone, or instrument.
